2021-2022 NvSCA Executive Board Nominations

NVSCA is a volunteer-run association that serves Nevada's school counselors. The benefits of serving on the

Executive Board include networking, learning about school counseling issues, developing strategies to advocate

for the profession, collegiality, and excellent professional and personal development.

We highly encourage all Nevada school counselors to consider being a part of the 2021 - 2022 NvSCA Executive Board.

Open 2021-2022 Board Positions

·   President - Elect   

·   Secretary 

  • Treasurer

·   Eastern Regional Vice-President - Eastern Region Counties: Clark, Elko, Eureka, Lincoln, Nye, White Pine

·   Western Regional Vice-President - Western Region Counties: Carson City, Churchill, Douglas, Esmeralda, Humboldt, Lander, Lyon, Mineral, Pershing, Storey, Washoe

·   Rural Representative - All NV counties except Clark and Washoe

  • Charter/Private School Representative

Nominations will be accepted through 9pm on March 31, 2021 

You may nominate yourself or a fellow school counselor.

Nominees will be sent a required application for acceptance of the nomination between April 1-15, 2021 and a request for further information between April 16-30, 2021. 

Candidates for each position are required to write a Candidate Statement.

Elections will be held May 1-15, 2021. Official election ballots will be emailed to all current NvSCA members through Election Runner. 

Results will be announced on May 16, 2021.  The term of office begins on June 15, 2021. 

To be considered for an NvSCA Executive Board position, candidates must be current professional or retired members of both NvSCA and the American School Counselor Association as stated in the NvSCA Bylaws. The current Executive Board will review each individual's credentials for eligibility.
